Since Atelier Millinery was founded in 2010,  hat refurbishments and repairs have been an important part of our business. Throughout this time Bates Hatters have chosen us as their workroom services supplier and we also undertake repairs for individual customers. 

The examples below will give you an idea of what to expect when you trust us to undertake a repair on your hat.

Ribbon Change from £50

A like for like or closest match is our most popular request but we can also do:

• Tie conversions, popular for weddings and club sports fixtures (you supply the tie)
• Ribbon detailing and different loop and bow finishes
• Upgrade a panama hat with matching ribbon and brim bind.

Re-blocking from £50 

A before and after example of felt hat re-blocking. The customer also wanted the lining replaced.  As part of the service we gave the hat a complimentary refresh.

Panama Repairs from £100

Hats carry the stories of the people who wear them and the places they have been. As hat enthusiasts, we love hearing the stories behind our customer's hats and few hats are as well travelled as the Panama!

When it comes to fixing splits and cracks our aim is to prolong the life of your hat and if possible return it to a wearable state. We cannot do invisible repairs but we aim to make them as discreet as possible on the visible parts of the hat depending on the extent of the work needed.

You can expect this sort of repair to look somewhat like a scar which tells the story of where your hat has been.
